Our History

Introducing Our Church

Roseboro First Baptist Church was organized in 1891.  The church is a member of the New South River Baptist Association, the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and the Southern Baptist Convention.  We also support the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.  It is governed by the membership, has no heirarchy other than God's Word and seeks always to be led by the Holy Spirit through democratic processes.

Roseboro First Baptist Church is missionary in its program, scriptural in its teaching and proclaims the Lordship of Jesus Christ.  It supports a warm, caring fellowship and endorses and supports local, home, and foreign missions.

The church practices the two ordinances as God's Word teaches, that of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

We as a church offer organizations for all in a variety of weekly, monthly and annual activities.  Our Sunday School program provides Bible study for all age groups.

There are informal periodic social functions for the whole church family, thus enhancing the strong bonds of love and fellowship.
